The meetings of the Documentation Group in 2011 focused on the methods employed by railway undertakings for Records Management - a discipline born in the United States at the end of the 1940s.
These meetings were introduced by two reports from the Norwegian gas and oil company Statoil, which highlighted the project documentation management system. They immediately enabled us to address different aspects of the implementation of Records Management projects within railway undertakings and infrastructure managers, including decision-making, project management, user training and financing. This meeting served as an opportunity to unveil the Records Management policy implemented by Jernbaneverket and see how its library and museum operated.
All participants deserve our thanks for their contributions to the fruitful discussions that took place over the course of these two days.
