Energy management is focusing on:

Interoperability assessment To provide “Guidelines - tests and measurements – to assess the conformity to the ENE TSI TSI Technical Specifications for Interoperability on quality of the current collection and catenary - pantograph interaction”.

Electric schemes and signs To provide “Optimised electric traction schemes at stations to merge needs of maintenance and train circulation” and “Definition of numbers, colours and signs to unify the identification of electrical zones”.

Safety in tunnels To provide “Guidelines for the OCL sectioning and earthing inside long tunnels, including the procedures to adopt for ascertaining of the short circuiting and earthing from any point of access”.

EMF Human exposure To evaluate “Intensities of electromagnetic fields produced by the energy installation (values expected for the exposure of workers, passengers and people living near the electrified railways)”
