On 2 January, the new year’s first China Railway Express (CRE) train set forth on its journey from Wuhan. At 05:32, with the horn sounding, the X8015 train, consisting of 50 cars and carrying auto parts and electronic products produced by companies in Hubei, departed from Wujiashan Station heading for Duisburg, Germany.

To ensure smooth operation, more than 20 personnel at Wujiashan Station gave up their new year holiday in order to oversee train receipt/departure, shunting, freight transport, safety and technical management. Facing low temperatures and cold in the early morning, they diligently fulfilled the work plan to ensure that marshalling, alignment, coupling and departure of the CRE train ran to schedule.

2021 is the first year of the “14th five-year plan”, and China Railway Wuhan Group Co., Ltd. will continue to do its best to operate the CRE trains. It plans to operate 400 CRE trains departing from or arriving in Wuhan this year.
