The UIC promotes silent railways. In a series of annual workshops UIC reports on progress, in particular in terms of retrofitting the freight rolling stock with composite brake blocks.

The next workshop will take place on 10 November 2009 at UIC Headquarters in Paris.

The UIC invites all interested persons to attend this workshop. It is free of charge, however participants must register with Martine Cellier: cellier@uic.org

A programme of the workshop will be available by August and will be distributed to all UIC members.
