On 9 September, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn (DB) appointed Dr. Volker Kefer, as a new Member of the German Railways Board (Vorstand) responsible for Technology, Railway System and Services. Dr. Kefer, born in Koblenz, 53 years old, is an engineer. He was holding since 2006 the responsibility of Chairman of the Board of DB Netz, the Infrastructure branch of Deutsche Bahn.
