The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Tajikistan attending the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC (Organisation of the Islamic Conference) signed an agreement in Dushanbe last week, for the construction of a railway line linking the two countries via Afghanistan. Iranian Foreign Minister Mottaki said the line is projected to cross the northern provinces of Afghanistan and will link China, Kirghizistan and Afghanistan to Iran and other countries beyond via the Iranian port of Chabahar.
