Switzerland: Disabled helpline service offered to SBB customers with reduced mobility

For the last ten years, SBB has offered a service geared to customers with reduced mobility. Up to one hour before train departure, a free call to 0800 007 102 is all it takes to receive help boarding and alighting from trains in one of the 170 staffed stations. In 2009 alone, 44 000 requests were handled by SBB’s disabled helpline service in Brig and 121 000 assistance services were delivered by staff.
