On 29 July 2010 Anne Florette, Manager of RFF’s land and real estate assets division and Sophie Boissard, Executive Manager of Gares & Connexions (SNCF) signed a partnership protocol to improve the quality of service in railway stations.

The two partners have confirmed their commitment to collaborate in improving the quality of services inside railway stations and observing the new environment laws for expanding public transport, particularly rail transport.

The partnership has three objectives:

  • Improving passenger services (quality of passenger information, cleanliness and comfort, ease of movement around the station, intermodal transport information, accessibility for persons with reduced mobility, security, etc.);
  • Guaranteeing high-quality services for railways and organisational authorities;
  • Developing joint railway station projects which meet both network capacity and land development requirements.
