Deutsche Bahn will recruit considerably more security staff this year than the previous year. This is the result of a new security plan for German Railways called “Sicherheit Plus”. This development should see 3700 security staff members operational in 2011 compared to 3200 in 2010.

5100 Federal Police officers are responsible for the prevention of risks in stations and trains. They are complemented by DB security staff.
