On 5 March, the new Hayabusa Series E5 Shinkansen trains entered service on the Tohoku Shinkansen Line between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori, linking the two cities in 3 hours 10 minutes.

The Series E5 Shinkansen lead car features a unique extended-nose design, and the train exterior proudly boasts the JR East green and white corporate colours, with a vivid pink stripe to convey a sense of lightening speed.

The Series E5 is designed inside and out for better environmental performance and greater comfort, thereby enabling you a quieter and smoother ride. Hayabusa is a fast way to travel between Tokyo and various cities in the Tohoku region.
