“Zero emissions” vision by 2050 for the railways is imminent: Eco Rail Innovation cooperation agreement signed

By signing the Eco Rail Innovation (ERI) cooperation agreement in Germany, the partners have created an open communications platform with the aim of examining rail transport’s strategic approach and position in a social context. This initiative intends to identify sustainable development concepts as these relate to transport products, and to define needs in the area of railway research.

The signatory partners to the ERI cooperation agreement are DB, Siemens, Bombardier Transportation, Alstom Transport, Tognum/MTU, Vossloh, Voith, Ballard, Sollon, Enertrag, the German Railway Industry Association (VDB), as well as the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences.
