A group of representatives from several business companies located in Mexico visited UIC headquarters on 21 September in Paris. The group was welcomed on behalf of the Director-General by Ignacio Barron de Angoiti, Director of the UIC Passenger and High Speed department, and Paul Véron, Director of the UIC Communications department. This meeting provided an opportunity for UIC directors to present the global activities developed by the worldwide association and to address perspectives for developing closer links with the Latin American railways, in particular within the framework of the UIC Latin-American Region currently chaired by Brazilian members.
