On 26 October SNCF and RZD inaugurated an exhibition at Kursk station in Moscow to celebrate the 30th anniversary of France’s high speed TGV train services. The ceremony was attended by Guillaume Pepy, President of SNCF, Vladimir Yakunin, President of RZD, the Ambassador of France to Russia, and the Vice-President of the Russian Duma. UIC, represented by its Director of Institutional Relations Vincent Vu, attended the event where over 120 guests were able to experience travelling at the record-breaking speed of 574.8 km/h, which the TGV set in 2007, and to learn about the various stages of this success story. This was also an occasion for RZD to establish an ambitious programme for international expansion, not only in Europe, but also towards Asia, where seeking new partners is an opportunity to foster global cooperation.
