On 11 May, ZRS (railway companies of Bosnia-Herzegovina) organised a round table on “Better Regional Connection of South East European (SEE) Railways” as part of its 20th anniversary.

The top managers of the railways of Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and ZRS attended the round table. CER (Libor Lochman), CIT (Eric Evtimov) and UIC (Miklos Kopp) gave a presentation about their main activities, focusing in particular on the problems and the future of the region.

The railway managers discussed their main concerns in infrastructure, border crossing procedures, and freight and passenger transportation.

At the end of the meeting the railways signed a Common Statement about the need for better cooperation in the region and decided to organise a high-level meeting of participants twice a year.
