Following its mid-term conference held in Bratislava (Slovakia) alongside the UIC Global Security Congress, PROTECTRAIL was presented on 14 and 15 November at the Transport Security Expo in London – a two-day conference, exhibition and workshop gathering that brings together security stakeholders from Britain and abroad. Over 3000 security professionals attended the Transport Security Expo this year.

PROTECTRAIL and its partner project SECUR-ED were present with a stand where representatives from UNIFE, UIC and UITP informed visitors about the projects and about security in railways and in public transport.

Didier Dupré from PROTECTRAIL partner Alstom presented the project at the conference on public transport security during the session dedicated to innovation and technology for security, safety and protection.

The event was a great success for PROTECTRAIL as it enhanced its visibility in the UK and attracted the attention of important stakeholders such as SMEs, operators, the Department for Transport, the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure, Transport for London, and the British Transport Police.
