The second meeting held in Catania on 26 and 27 April was the XVII International Cisco Conference on Intermodal Transport. Jacques Colliard stressed the need to incorporate security constraints in advance of the design and operation of services so as to ensure the integrity of loads as well as reliability and punctuality in rail transport. He presented the work launched in Moscow the week before and stressed the various research projects led and overseen by the Security Division, some of which will have a direct impact on the security of freight and containers.
