4th “Next Station” international conference on railway stations: Conference programme now available

The 4th “Next Station” international conference on railway stations will take place in Moscow, Kazansky Station, from 17 – 18 October 2013. This high-profile global
railway event will be hosted by JSC Russian Railways (RZD) and jointly organised with the UIC.

The Honorary Committee is composed of prominent railways leaders:

  • Vladimir Yakunin, RZD President (Russia), UIC Chairman,
  • Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, UIC Director General,
  • Süleyman Karaman, TCDD Director General (Turkey), Chairman UIC Middle-East,
  • Mohamed Rabie Khlie, ONCF Director General (Morocco), UIC Africa Chairman,
  • Guilherme Quintella (Brazil), UIC Latin America Chairman,
  • Robert VanderClute (USA), AAR Senior Vice President, UIC North American Region Chairman,
  • Michael Melaniphy (USA), APTA President and CEO

“Next Station 2013” will be dedicated to the theme “Next Station: Linking Railways
and Society”
. This international event will provide a unique opportunity for high-level
speakers and panellists to address all strategic issues related to the creation, development
and operation of railway stations, such as project development and financing, station
management, station and urban planning, the sustainable, eco-friendly railway station,
facilities and design, commercial use of station space and services, multimodality and
accessibility.

The “Next Station” programme, which includes plenary sessions - opening, round table and closing - 8 parallel sessions as well as a trade exhibition and technical visits at the end of the international conference, is availabe here:
