Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, Director General of UIC, took part in EXPO 1520 – the International Rail Salon in Shcherbinka, Moscow.

On this occasion he was able to hold talks with a number of executives within Russian Railways and representatives of manufacturing companies which were present at the exhibition.

As part of a round table on standardisation, he had the opportunity in particular to talk to Mr Gapanovich, Senior Vice-President for Innovative Development, on this very important issue which affects the railways in general – and therefore all UIC members and RZD.

On this occasion, in his keynote speech to all the executives at the meeting, Mr Loubinoux described the steps taken by UIC to gradually transform UIC leaflets into international standards, and highlighted the work carried out by high-level technical staff of member railways within the UIC standardisation platform.
