UIC Executive Training Programme for China Railways launched in Beijing

The UIC Executive Training Programme for China Railways hosted by China Railway Corporation and organised by China Academy of Railway Sciences was successfully launched in Beijing from 23 – 28 September 2013. The Vice President of China Railway Corporation Mr Lu Chunfang and Director General of UIC Mr Jean-Pierre Loubinoux addressed the opening ceremony and the meeting.

This programme is an important international training programme initiated by China Railway Corporation since its establishment which is tailor-made for senior management and technical staff targeting some typical and critical issues during the development of China Railways. A total of three sessions were arranged on “Freight Transport Organisation and Marketing”, “Railway Passenger Service Development and Marketing Strategies” and “Railway Safety Management System”, with each session lasting three days and lectures given by 10 UIC speakers. More than 600 participants from the relevant departments of China Railway Corporation, State Railway Administration, regional railway administrations, railway undertakings and China Academy of Railway Sciences attended the programme.

The training programme has achieved remarkable success and will play an active role in enhancing the management expertise of China Railways and promoting all-round cooperation between China Railways and UIC.
