As part of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting, Mr Loubinoux, Trustee of the Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI), took part in the Board Meeting of this association.

A number of discussions were held in this context with the other members of the board, notably APTA, the representatives of the Californian project, the representatives of universities and other urban transport systems within the United States.

A special mention should be made in the exchanges with Joe Boardman, President and Chief Executive of Amtrak, who hosted the MTI Board in Washington.

Also within this context it should be noted that Mr Rod Diridon received the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award from the national Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC), underlining all the work that he has accomplished personally and all the work accomplished in the areas of research and education among university students by the Mineta Transportation Institute.
