France: RFF and SNCF launched a national prevention campaign at the start of November on the dangers of level crossings in stations and are aiming for a zero accident rate

Pedestrian level crossings – provided to allow passengers to reach other platforms within railway stations – are no trivial matter. The majority of accidents at these crossings are caused by user misuse. In order to prevent high-risk behaviour at level crossings, RFF and SNCF have launched a national awareness campaign to inform passengers of the need to comply with safety rules at crossings. This new campaign between RFF and SNCF marks another step forward in the action plan to reduce the number of accidents at pedestrian level crossings.
