With a view to promoting railway activities led by UIC, Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, UIC Director General, took part in two events of a similar nature, highlighting the developments expected on the part of the railways. At the first event, on 25 March in Lille, France, during the SIFER trade fair, Mr Loubinoux was keynote speaker at the 9th International Exhibition of Rail Technology, to discuss “Exports, opportunity or obligation”.

At the second event, for the Fédération française du Bâtiment (French Building Federation), Mr Loubinoux gave a vision of the development of international railway markets and the potential work resulting from this. This presentation was followed by a number of questions on the projects around the world and the current trends in the area of sustainable development.
