Sweden: Lena Erixon new Director General of Trafikverket

On 1 September Lena Erixon commenced her service as Director General of Trafikverket

In the previous three years, Lena Erixon served as the Director-General of the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). Over the course of the 12 years prior to this, she held several high ranking positions at the Swedish Transport Administration. She has also been the Financial Director of Södertälje Municipality and has worked for the Association of Local Authorities and the Department of Finance.

Lena Erixon is 55 years old and lives in Falun. She graduated from Stockholm University in 1982 with a degree in administration, specialising in finances. Lena is the President of Svedab, Vice President of the Öresund Bridge group and chairperson of the board of directors for the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen). She will now leave her positions in Svedab and the Öresund Bridge group.
