The premises of the Secondary School of Informatics and Communications in Brno-Komín once again became a setting for this year’s this year Student Cup. This all-day event organised by the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SZDC) is designed for pupils in years 7 – 9 of primary school who could someday become SZDC’s employees in a technical profession.

From 9 September, various sporting disciplines and knowledge tests will be prepared in the school’s premises at Čichnová Street. Representatives of SZDC will also present pupils with selected railway professions.

The whole project is a breakthrough not only from the point of view of SZDC as such but also in the field of Czech education and HR management. ”It is not yet quite common for state institutions of such a size and importance to present students with technical fields of study and to offer them cooperation in an active way. We want to present our organisation to young people as a dynamic company where they can fully fulfil and develop themselves”, said Mr Pavel Surý, Director General of the Railway Infrastructure Administration about this unique event’s intent.

The SZDC Student Cup took place for the first time in 2013 in Prague. Last year the event was organised in Brno where it attracted several hundred pupils from the whole South Moravia capital.
