Japan: Sales of the “JR East-South Hokkaido Pass” – a product for foreign visitors to Japan to travel on the Hokkaido Shinkansen at a great price!

To commemorate the opening of the Hokkaido Shinkansen, JR Hokkaido and JR East are launching the JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass, a discount pass for travel in the areas of both companies allowing foreign visitors to Japan to have fun traveling in a wider area.

This product can be used on trains including the Shinkansen and Limited Express in the East Japan area, including the Tohoku region, and South Hokkaido area, including Sapporo, Hakodate, and the New Chitose Airport.

In the future JR Hokkaido and JR East will make further efforts to promote wide-area sightseeing routes together with local regions to offer more enjoyable travel to more foreign customers.
