A new rest house for locomotive crews has opened in Mangystau, Kazakhstan for drivers and their assistants. There is a room with ten beds, a shower, dining room and WC.

Following structural reorganisation – the integration of JSC “Locomotive service centre” and JSC “Locomotive” – the building was renovated and opened a rest house for locomotive crews.

“Holiday homes are intended to ensure proper rest, nutrition and functional rehabilitation of locomotive brigades of workers while waiting for the return trip and complete rest is the key to traffic safety”, said the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Mangystau operational locomotive depot Abilseit Nabihanov.

According to him, the rest houses for locomotive crews will be improved in future at the Beineu and Say-Utes stations, where there are plans to open gyms.
