Kazakhstan: KTZ Express and Hebei Taitong logistics Co., Ltd sign Agreement on Strategic Cooperation

On September 8, Sanzhar Elubayev, Vice President for Logistics of JSC NC KTZ, held negotiations with the the Mayor of the People’s Government of Shijiazhuang (China), Dan Peiran, as well as representatives of the transport logistics company Hebei Taitong logistics Co., Ltd.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the railway administrations of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China on the implementation of the program “Nurly Zhol” and the initiative “One Belt - One Way” were discussed.
In addition, parties discussed the organisation of regular container trains running from Shijiazhuang to Central Asia, Iran, Turkey, Europe, Vietnam and in return via Kazakhstan using the logistics infrastructure of the Altynkol station and the Dry Port of the SEZ “Khorgos-Eastern Gates”.

According to S.Yelubayev, “Kazakhstan has experience in organising container trains from Lianyungang terminal to Europe, Turkey and Central Asia. At the present time, the issue of regular land/container lines and the marketing of global partnerships to attract cargo, including with Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia is under consideration.”

Following the results of negotiations between JSC KTZ Express and Hebei Taitong logistics Co., Ltd, the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation was signed. The document is aimed at the development of rail transport, the joint use of resources, the expansion of transport and logistics services.
