Piotr Kurcz, from Polish State Railways (PKP S.A.), has been appointed the new Vice-Chairman of the UIC Security Platform, effective from 1 July 2018.

Currently Director of the Security Office at PKP and with extensive experience in the area of security, Mr Kurcz has had a varied career working for law enforcement institutions as well as a number of international structures.

Since his arrival in the railway sector, he has closely followed UIC’s activities in the areas of safety and security in the railways and is committed to supporting PKP in UIC working groups to create common security requirements and tighten cooperation between its members.
