The EU-funded H2020 project PROACTIVE led by the UIC Security Division will soon hold its first public workshop in Münster, Germany on 19 March 2020. The event will be hosted by the German Police Academy which is one of the consortium partners.

The workshop will discuss public perceptions and responses to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear and explosives (CBRNe) threats as well as the current policy for mitigation and management of such incidents.

Expected participants include PROACTIVE consortium members, members of the project, practitioner stakeholder advisory board, policy makers, local practitioners from Germany, and relevant eNOTICE partners based on the cooperation agreement with PROACTIVE. Railway security practitioners will equally contribute this workshop and are kindly invited to attend (with representatives of DB AG and RAILPOL already confirmed). Policy officers from the European Commission have also confirmed their interest and are expected to attend.

The event will also stimulate synergies between several projects working on the CBRN security topic.

The PROACTIVE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 832981.

PROACTIVE can be followed on Twitter (@PROACTIVE_EU) as well as on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/proactive-eu/) and the project website https://proactive-h2020.eu/.
