On 24 April 2020, Mr Roman Gono was appointed to the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZSSK CARGO. Born in 1973 in Trenčín, Mr Gono studied at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and at the Northern Melbourne Institute of Tafe.

He later broadened his education in the field of investment consultancy.

Mr Gono previously worked on different positions in the banking sector. He has a broad experience with managing branches. Since 2016 he has been working at ZSSK Cargo as Director of the Services Division.

Mr Gono speaks English, Polish and Russian.
