United States: Women-owned San Jose engineering firm says high-speed rail small business participation goal is creating opportunities

NSI Engineering is a woman-owned San Jose-based firm doing quality assurance on the Northern California portions of the high-speed rail program and represents one of the 11 million women-owned businesses in the country.

NSI is not only certified as a woman-owned small business but certified as a disadvantaged business and a disabled veteran business.

October is National Women’s Small Business Month and according to SCORE, women-owned businesses in the U.S. support nearly nine million jobs and generate annual revenues of $1.6 trillion.

As of June 2016, there are 48 women-owned small businesses working on the high-speed rail program.
