Sixteen trains of high-speed passenger cars produced by the Tulpar-Talgo plant are used on the network of railways of JSC NC KTZ.

The enterprise, built according to the state programme of industrial and innovative development, ensures the renewal of the park of passenger cars of JSC NC KTZ.
In 2016, Kazakhstani manufacturers began to develop the production of new passenger cars. These cars have a body width of 3.2 meters, which increases the interior space of the coupe and transitions, the cabin in the dining car and the cafeteria car. In 2017, the “Tulpar-Talgo” cars were certified for compliance with the EEU technical regulations.

"We closed one contract, which issued 436 wagons - from 2012 to 2015. Since 2016, we have a new contract, according to which we plan to produce 603 wagons with a wide body up to 2023. To date, 178 of them have already been produced, "said Vladimir Kiselev, Production Director of Tulpar-Talgo LLP.
“The use of modern technologies in the production of cars of the Talgo class allows line speeds of up to 200 km/h, which reduces the time for the train to almost double. This contributes to the successful implementation of the program for the development of high-speed passenger traffic in Kazakhstan,” said Vladimir Kiselev.
Currently, all major cities of Kazakhstan are connected by a network of high-speed passenger routes.

The enterprise “Tulpar-Talgo” is one of the leaders of railway engineering in Kazakhstan. It employs more than 200 employees, and with full production capacity it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 360. Specialists are trained at the plants of the Spanish company Patentes Talgo S.L.

According to the agreements between JSC NC KTZ and Patentes Talgo S.L. there is a phased transfer of technologies.
