The new EU H2020 funded project PROACTIVE (PReparedness against CBRNE threats through cOmmon Approaches between security praCTItioners and the VulnerablE civil society) began its dissemination actions at two international events.

Grigore Havarneanu attended the third International Conference on CBRNE Research and Innovation held in Nantes, France between 20 – 23 May 2019. He gave a presentation during the plenary session on Risks & Crisis Management. The presentation included an overview of the project and some results of the survey on the CBRN topic conducted through the UIC network on quick responders earlier this year. The event brought together 500 participants including academics and researchers, practitioners and industry representatives. This conference was also a very good opportunity to meet CBRN first responders and practitioners and to discuss future cooperation with ongoing H2020 research projects on CBRNe such as eNOTICE, ENCRICLE and EU-SENSE.

Laura Petersen was present at the 16th International Conference on Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management (ISCRAM2019). The conference was held in Valencia, Spain at the Universitat Politècnica de València, from 19 – 22 May 2019. There were 255 participants, including researchers and practitioners. She presented UIC and project PROACTIVE at the Protecting Critical Infrastructures in Crisis Situations session. She also discussed her research on using public tolerance levels to determine the evaluation criteria for critical infrastructure minimum level of service during a crisis.
