Kazakhstan: Agreements aimed at the growth of cargo traffic on the Trans-Caspian route were signed in Nur-Sultan city

From 24 – 25 June this year, regular meetings of the working group on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the General meeting of the International Association “TITR” were held in Nur-Sultan city.

During the meeting, the General meeting discussed issues of improving the efficiency of work to attract goods to TITR, the development of container transport, creating favourable tariff conditions along the route.

Head of JSC " NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”, Chairman of the Management Board of TITR Sauat Mynbayev stressed the importance of taking effective measures to use the potential of the Trans-Caspian corridor.

“It is necessary to intensify the work on increasing cargo traffic on our route. The decisions taken by us should help to attract new participants of the corridor,” said Sauat Mynbayev.

The growth of interest of large transport and logistics companies to this international corridor was noted. In particular, the Association “TITR” joined “Astyk-Trans” JSC, the main activity of which is the operation of specialised rolling stock, the provision of freight forwarding services for the transport of grain.

Following the meeting, the Minutes of the General meeting of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was signed.

As part of the event, the leaders – permanent members of the Association “TITR” also signed the following:

  • Agreement on the organisation of container transportation in direct rail and water transport with the participation of feeder ships between the ports of the Caspian sea (Aktau, Baku (Alat)
  • Agreement on cooperation and measures of responsibility for non-compliance with the terms of delivery in the organization of transportation of goods as part of container trains on the route TITR
