Dear Intercity & High-Speed Committee Member,

Regarding the forthcoming World Congress on High-Speed Rail, to date we have received around 600 abstracts.

This is very encouraging, however, we would like to receive more applications from around the world, which is why we have postponed the deadline for submitting abstracts until midnight on 24 January.

We invite all of you to pass this piece of information to your companies and to submit abstracts.

Each applicant will be informed of the results by 28 February 2020 at the latest, by e-mail, stating whether they have been selected, not selected or put on a waiting list.

The deadline for submission of the final version of presentations (after all revisions are made based on the review of the UIC Scientific Committee and the Session Chair) will be 1 May 2020.

The selection as a speaker allows admission to the congress without paying congress fees (only one gratuity in case of a speaker selected for more than one paper).

Information regarding the Technical Visit

The participants of WCHSR will have the opportunity to take trains on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR, a benchmark intelligent railway supporting ATO at 350km/h and integrating many sophisticated and intelligent technologies, to the site of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

With a total length of 174km, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR commenced construction in 2016 and entered operation at the end of 2019, with a maximum design speed of 350km/h. It is an important transport infrastructure project serving the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. Leading technologies such as BIM, cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile internet, artificial intelligence, Beidou navigation, etc. are applied during its construction and operation, making the railway a pilot in global intelligent railways.

All the laboratories of the National Railway Track Test Centre will open to the participants and railway professionals available for exchanges during the event. China Railway Museum, very close to the congress venue, will also open to the visitors with splendid railway exhibits and collections showcasing the history and progress of China railways.
