RIDE2RAIL launches open call for transferability

Are you a public or private company or authority engaged in MaaS (Mobility as a Service) design and/or development? The RIDE2RAIL project has launched an Open Call for Transferability to ensure the EU-wide transfer of RIDE2RAIL solutions, knowledge and technologies. The selected candidates will benefit from transferability exercises in which project experts will assess the current status of RIDE2RAIL innovative solutions and provide suggestions on how to refine and improve aspects of the IT solutions developed by the candidate.

The RIDE2RAIL project exploits intelligent mobility approaches, making ride-sharing an effective feeder for high-capacity transport services (such as rail) in less densely populated and rural areas. The effect will be to shift current demand from individual to collective mobility and potentially to attract new demand, thus improving transport accessibility and reducing “disutilities” for users.

The aim of the Open Call for Transferability is to ensure that project technologies are shared with other relevant mobility stakeholders. Selected candidates will closely follow the existing four pilot sites for project solutions and will interact with RIDE2RAIL partners with the aim of achieving further potential replication.

Eligibility and specifics of the call

The call is open to all stakeholders, e.g. public bodies/authorities or private companies, offering an integrated set of transport services in a specific European municipality or region. The transferability candidates must be located in an EU Member State or an H2020 Associated Country. The exercises for the selected transferability candidates will start in June 2021 and end in February 2022.
The deadline to apply is 1 October 2021.

Up to the five best proposals will be selected to participate in the transferability project. As a possible bonus, upon costs justifications, successful applicants may have their travel to RIDE2RAIL demo sites (to participate in local events organised by RIDE2RAIL in demo cities) reimbursed for expenses up to €2,600 for each of the five winners.

The evaluation committee in charge of the final choice of applicants will comprise one representative from each of the following organisations: UITP, UIC, FS Technology, UNIFE and EURNEX. The final ranking of applicants and related scores will be distributed to each applicant and the winning names will be published on the RIDE2RAIL website.
