The 2nd Meeting of the Working Group on the Trans-Asian Railway Network and the seminar on “Promoting the use of the Trans-Asian Railway Network through improved awareness of commercial requirements” are scheduled to be held in Busan, Republic of Korea, from 14-15 June and 14-17 June 2011, respectively.
The two events are co-organised by ESCAP and the International Union of Railways and will be held at the Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre (BEXCO). They will take place in conjunction with the Railway and Logistics Fair 2011 organised by Busan Metropolitan City.

The seminar will be an information-sharing event amongst experts from international institutions, railway organisations and private sector bodies active in the planning, development and operation of international rail transport corridors and container traffic. UNESCAP have already sent official invitations to the government organisations within the UNESCAP region responsible for the railways in their own countries.

UIC Asia members are kindly requested to participate in this event. Members who receive UNESCAP letters can register through the contact mentioned by UNESCAP.
