The group had the opportunity to report on the latest news from their companies during the habitual round table.

The main points of the meeting here:

  • The ongoing project GIRAT “Guidelines on Increasing Rail Attractiveness for Tourism”
  • The organisation of the II TopRail Forum to be held from 17 – 18 May in Pietrarsa, Naples
  • The validation of TopRail III as an opt-in project to be presented to the European Work programme 2020 for the next three years

On this occasion, a special guest joined the meeting: Mr Davenne, UIC Deputy Director General welcomed the participants and opened the meeting. He confirmed his presence during the next TopRail Forum to be held in Naples in May and expressed that “this Forum as well as the guidelines in preparation are a good opportunity to think about the new ways of tourism and how railways can act as the backbone of sustainable mobility.”
